The English Premier League returns this weekend – and after Liverpool’s massive stumble against Everton, the title race now seems to be down to just two. City won their last match – and still have a game in spare compared to Arsenal and Liverpool.
For Liverpool to have any chance of winning the title, they must win against West Ham and hope Arsenal and City slip up.
Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town – the three teams currently in the relegation zone – are all in action this Saturday. It’s a must-win for all three if they are to have any hopes of surviving the drop.
It’s also a must-win for United, although three points won move them out of 6th place, it will start to close the gap between them and 5th place Spurs.

Premier League fixtures on Sunday
Sunday’s matches will give us a better understanding of the title race. Arsenal cannot afford to slip up, whilst City should easily beat Notts Forest – a win could see City back at the top of the Premier League table. Even after Sunday’s matches, City still have a game in hand. If Arsenal were too lose, it would open the title race back up and bring Liverpool back in with a chance.
