Top-flight English football is back in action this weekend, as the Premier League returns and the FA Cup semi-final matches get underway.

City face Chelsea in the first of the semi-final matches over the weekend. City are fresh off European heartbreak after being knocked out on penalties by Real Madrid. But they’ll be putting their treble heartbreak behind them and refocusing on the double: PL title and FA Cup.

WTX Sports predicts: Manchester City to win 2-0.

If Arsenal bags all three points they will move back to the top spot in the Premier League table – going one point clear of Man City (who don’t play their next PL match until next Thursday). There’s only a handful of PL matches left and no room for slip-ups. Arsenal were knocked out of the CL on Wednesday – and with only a few days to rest, they’ll need to refocus and make sure not to drop any points. A win for Wolves will see them jump into 10th place.

WTX Sports predicts Man U to win 3-0.

The final set of Premier League matches on Sunday, with Liverpool hoping to secure all three points. If they do they could jump into first place. A win for Arsenal and Liverpool could see them battling for the top spot (depending on goal difference, though it a big gap between Arsenal and Liverpool). It’s been a disappointing recent run for Liverpool at the moment, with them being knocked out of the Europa League and several shock losses.

It’s a must-win for both Nottingham Forest and Everton who desperately need to put some space between them and the relegation zone. Both teams are really close to the drop.

Villa beat Lille on penalties in the Europa Conference League earlier in the week and they’ll be looking to continue their winning streak. It’ll put some nice space between Villa and Spurs, boosting their hopes of holding onto fourth place.
