The Guardian – Former supreme court judges add voices to calls for Israeli arms ban
The Guardian says three former Supreme Court judges are among a number of lawyers and academics who have warned the government is breaking international law by continuing to arm Israel.
The letter, obtained by the paper, is signed by more than 600 lawyers, academics and retired judges. Its signatories, including three former Supreme Court justices, call for an end to weapons exports as “a measure to prevent” genocide in Gaza.
The front page also reports Israel is facing an international outcry over the deaths of seven aid workers – including three British ex-servicemen.
