Taylor Swift’s father altercation – cleared of all charges!
Scott Swift, father of Taylor Swift, will not face charges following allegations of assaulting a paparazzi in Australia.
Ben McDonald, 51, reported to the police that Scott Swift, 72, had struck him in the face at a Sydney wharf on February 27. McDonald did not require medical assistance.
A representative for Swift stated at the time that two individuals had been using aggressive behaviour towards the renowned artist.
Following an investigation spanning a month, New South Wales police announced on Tuesday that no further action would be pursued.
The altercation occurred shortly after Mr Swift and his daughter disembarked from a yacht, following her final Eras Tour performance in Sydney.
Footage released by Australian media shows the singer, shielded under an umbrella, walking alongside her father and security personnel along Neutral Bay Wharf around 02:30 local time (15:30 GMT).
Flashes from cameras precede an exchange between two voices—presumably a photographer and a guard—accusing each other of interference with the umbrellas. The footage does not capture the alleged incident.
