The Daily Mirror says that Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has vowed to repair the damage caused by years of Tory neglect as he demanded Rishi Sunak call a general election. Starmer tells the paper’s readers that he will not let them down.
The UK will likely see its next general election in the second half of 2024. An election has to be called legally before January 2025. Labour is widely expected to win the next election and take office.
Like other front pages, the paper also reports on the Princess of Wales, saying the Palace is planning her return to duty after her surgery.
