The Guardian – More than 100 Palestinians die in chaos surrounding Gaza aid convoy
The Guardian leads on conflicting accounts of recent deaths in Gaza. The paper reports assertions from Gaza health officials, who say more than 100 Palestinians died after Israeli troops opened fire on crowds who gathered around aid trucks. But the paper also finds room for the statement from the Israeli military which rejects these claims. Israeli soldiers appeared to open fire on civilians but Israel claimed most victims were killed in a crush.
Elsewhere, the front page reports on an official report into the failings of the Met Police that allowed Wayne Couzens to become a police officer.
