Palace gives update on Kate after William pulls out of memorial service
Prince William has pulled out of attending a memorial service for his late godfather due to an undisclosed personal matter.
Kensington Palace would not elaborate further on why he could not attend, but in a rare update on his wife Kate Middleton said she continues to be doing well after having abdominal surgery.
The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital for a planned operation on January 16.
She is not expected to return to official duties until after Easter, and her husband temporarily stepped back from his royal role to juggle caring for her and their children.
