The Guardian – Tories putting party before sexual assault claim, says alleged victim
The Guardian reports a woman allegedly sexually assaulted by a Conservative MP says the party is more concerned with protecting its own reputation than her welfare after it failed to investigate her complaint formally. In response, a party spokesperson tells the paper that it encourages complainants to go to the police if there is possible criminal activity.
Elsewhere, it also has a story on the former head of the Post Office saying he was the target of a smear campaign led by Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch.
