The Independent reports the prime minister is under fire after declining to call out Lee Anderson’s allegedly Islamophobic comments about London’s mayor Sadiq Khan. The paper says Lee Anderson has refused to apologise for the comments he made, in which he claimed Islamists have control of Sadiq Khan and London.
