Breaking – Police looking for Abdul Shokoor Ezedi find body in the River Thames
The Metropolitan Police have announced that a body has been discovered in the River Thames during the search for Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, a suspect in a chemical attack. Ezedi, aged 35, had been the subject of a week-long search after it was suspected that he had entered the river.
Ezedi was last observed on CCTV on January 31st, leaning over the railings of Chelsea Bridge in London on the same night a woman and two girls were assaulted. While the body found has not yet been formally identified by the authorities, Commander Jon Savell stated that based on the unique attire worn by Ezedi during the incident and items found on the body, there is a strong belief that it is him. The family of Ezedi has been informed of the discovery.
During the manhunt for Ezedi, the Metropolitan Police received 500 calls with information about his whereabouts. A reward of £20,000 had been offered for information leading to his apprehension.
