Ewe herd it here first: Clarkson’s Farm icon Kaleb Cooper is releasing a mad rap song about his hatred of, er, sheep.

The farmer, who welcomed his second child last year, is hoping to ram home his dislike of the livestock in a track titled, in case his feelings weren’t already clear: ‘I Can’t Stand Sheep!’

But far from being a baa humbug, the 25-year-old has produced the single in aid of charity, with all profits going to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

Speaking about his quest for chart success, Kaleb said: ‘Never did I think I’d be saying these words, that I’m releasing a record.

‘When you listen to it, you’ll realise why I didn’t ever think it was possible – my singing voice isn’t a match for my farming skills by any stretch. I had a lot of fun recording it and I hope that people like it, but there is also a serious side to it.

Reflecting on his decision to fundraise for a good cause, Kaleb explained: ‘As a community, farmers are only too aware of how pressurised the industry has become, the farming way of life can feel lonely at times.

‘I wanted to make sure that if people are struggling they have somewhere to reach out to.’

Set to the tune of The Floral Dance, the single also includes the RABI’s helpline number to raise awareness for the charity, which provides financial, emotional and practical help.

Kaleb, who helps former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson with the day-to-day running of his Diddly Squat farm in Oxfordshire, ha also set up a bursary for Royal Agricultural University students.

Music isn’t Kaleb’s only recent venture outside of the farm, having previously revealed he was going to embark on a theatre tour around the UK.

The 33-day national tour will see Kaleb bare all about his life and, while he admitted he felt nervous, is making an effort to embrace new opportunities.

‘I’m a firm believer, if I want to go out there and learn something, you’ve got to go out then and go full, head down, go for it,’ he told PA last June.

‘Yes, it’s a fear, or you know, a nervousness thing, but I think I’m a firm believer of… going towards it and facing your fear with brave shoulders.’

As well as theatre, Kaleb has also released two books, Britain According To Kaleb: The Wonderful World Of Country Life, a follow-up to his bestseller The World According To Kaleb.

The third series of Amazon’s Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm is expected to be released this year.

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
