Ashley Cain has welcomed a baby son named Aliyas two years after the death of his daughter Azaylia at eight months old.

The 33-year-old – who shares the newborn with an old friend – took to Instagram on Thursday to share the heartwarming news.

Ashley wrote alongside an adorable photo: ‘Aliyas Diamond Cain – 16.01.24, 4:32am, 9lbs 3oz.

‘I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life.

‘& you will have the most beautiful guardian angel heaven holds watching over you and protecting you too.

‘Welcome to the world my son.’

He continued: ‘May your body be strong, your mind be wise, your heart be loving and your spirit be pure and truly powerful.’

The news comes after Azaylia – who Ashley shared with ex partner Safiyya Vorajee – died in April 2021, from a rare cancer at eight months old.

She had been through chemotherapy and other treatments for over half her life.

Aliyas’ middle name ‘Diamond’ appears to be in honour of his late sister.
