Those eligible will receive the first £25 Cold Weather Payment of 2024 as freezing weather is set to continue across the country.
It is now possible to check whether your area will be included and see whether you are entitled to the money.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has now triggered the first Cold Weather Payments of the year for UK postcodes.
Payments of £25 have already started being issued to thousands of people as temperatures plunge in areas including Cumbria, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
The payments will be made for a seven-day period which started on Friday, 12 January.
These Cold Weather Payments are made between 1 November and 31 March to people who receive a range of benefits across England and Wales.

And now the full list of postcodes of those who will get this payment in the week of 12 – 18 January have been shared.

These are all areas that have been forecast to drop to zero degrees or below for seven consecutive days.
Those eligible will receive £25 for each seven-day period over the winter months between 1 November and 31 March.
If you are eligible, the money will be paid directly into your bank account automatically.

The DWP has confirmed that households do not need to apply or take any action to ensure they get the money.
The current cold snap is being referred to as the ‘freeze of the century’ after the UK was hit by a blast of Scandinavian air adding further misery to those already dealing with floods.
Now an Arctic blast is smashing into the nation with four days of snow forecast.
Three yellow weather warnings for snow and ice are in place for northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and parts of England today.

Some parts of Scotland might see up to 10cm of snow – London, however, won’t be left behind as snow showers are forecast to appear on Wednesday.
Commuters have been warned of travel chaos as icy conditions can cause delays and cancellations to trains, the London Underground and buses.
Drivers might wind up stranded if they hit the roads tomorrow.
On top of this, 100 flood alerts and warnings remaining from the aftermath of Storm Henk and an amber health alert is in place for all of England until Friday.
