Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas has got engaged to girlfriend and fellow actor Karina after a romantic ‘dream’ proposal involving fireworks.
The actor, who played Anthony Moon in the BBC One soap, took to social media to document the special moment and share the happy news with his followers, telling everyone that he ‘did a thing’.
The soap star shared a series of snaps and clips from the special moment in a video package, showcasing the moment he got down on one knee to pop the question to stunned Karina.
The couple were then seen toasting to their engagement from a balcony, with Karina wearing her engagement ring, as they watched a magical fireworks display.
Matt, 34, told Karina in his subsequent pose that she has ‘brought love and laughter’ into his life and is ‘everything’ that he could have ever dreamed of.
We’re not crying, we swear.
‘They say love conquers all and with you I feel like I have conquered the world!’, he wrote. ‘You make me the happiest I have ever been, and there is no one in this world I would want to share the rest of my life with than you!

A number of Matt’s former EastEnders co-stars were quick to comment, including Nina Wadia, who played Zainab Masood. ‘Aaaaaggghhhh!!!! Soooooo happy for you xxx,’ she wrote.
John Partridge, who played Christian Clarke, added: ‘Congratulations’, with a subsequent heart emoji.

Hollyoaks star Gabriel Clark, who played Ollie Morgan on the Channel 4 soap, commented with: ‘Woooooooo!!! Congratulations!!!’
Matt worked with Gabriel back in 2022 when he appeared in special episodes of Hollyoaks filmed in Majorca as part of Luke Morgan’s (Gary Lucy) exit storyline, playing the role of manipulative Alex.
