Aadi had a really lucky escape (Picture: ITV)
Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) had a very lucky escape in recent Coronation Street scenes after collapsing from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Though he had started his birthday believing that he would be spending it with family and friends, things soon went downhill when the truth of his kiss with Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) was revealed.
Sister Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) obviously took the news badly, and soon Aadi had cancelled their party and headed home alone.
Hurt Asha soon headed over to see him, but grew even angrier when she found him passed out on the sofa, believing him to be drunk.
Furious, she threw the bracelet he had bought as her birthday present on the floor and stormed out, insisting that she never wanted to see him again.

However, she failed to notice the broken carbon monoxide alarm lying on the side.
Having explained Aadi and Nina’s betrayal to best friend Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), Asha revealed that her brother was dead to her, and warned Amy against going to see him as she had originally planned to do.
Thankfully, Amy ignored Asha’s advice and headed over to the flat.

It was there that she realised something was wrong, when she noticed him unconscious on the couch while peering through the letter box.
When Gav (Noah Olaoye) explained that he must be a lightweight as he’dbeen absolutely fine an hour ago, Amy realised that Aadi couldn’t be drunk and there must be something more serious going on.
After breaking down the door to the flat, Amy rang an ambulance and Aadi was soon rushed into hospital.

Doctors eventually revealed that Aadi had suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, and had been very lucky to get out alive.
While this horrifying situation helped Asha to soften towards him somewhat, it was still awkward between them, and soon Asha had made the difficult decision to split with girlfriend Nina over their betrayal.
Will Asha ever truly be able to forgive her brother?
