A mischievous dog threw himself a party for one after escaping from his kennel at an Arizona pet rescue- until he was busted by police.
King, a Siberian husky, slipped out of his kennel just after midnight on November 16 and quickly set about trying to free his friends.
CCTV footage shows King attempt to stage a prison break by hopping up on his hind legs and frantically pawing at a nearby pen, believed to contain another husky.
When that doesn’t work, he tries gnawing at the lock in an attempt to chew his friend’s way to freedom, before eventually slumping down, defeated.

King then crawls over to another neighbouring kennel and comes face-to-face with a large white dog, with the two appearing to engage in a wordless conversation.
The husky once again tries the same approach, pawing at the lock. But when that also doesn’t work, King decides to make his own fun and heads over to a nearby door, miraculously managing to open it and escaping into an adjacent room.
A second camera then captures King sniffing around what appears to be some sort of office, looking for trouble.
He eventually finds it when he stumbles upon a container full of dog food, knocking it down and making a mess as he stuffs his face, clearly pleased with his midnight snack.

The incident occurred at Lost Our Home Pet Rescue in Tempe, Arizona.
Founder and CEO Jodi Polanski said she only learned of King’s escape when alarms at the shelter went off.
‘It was like, you know, 12 o’clock, 1 o’clock in the morning and I immediately looked to see what was going on and couldn’t find anything happening, and then I saw the mess, and I was like, “Oh my God,”‘ she told FOX 10.
A police officer was dispatched to the scene to put an end to the party, but King didn’t seem to mind. As the unnamed officer slipped through the door, King jumped up to greet him with his tail wagging, excited to make a new friend.

The officer then proceeded to thoroughly clean up the mess before making what has been dubbed ‘the cutest arrest ever’.
Polanski told Newsweek that King had been brought in as a stray and had only been with them for a couple of hours before staging his escape.
They learned very quickly that he had no tolerance for being in the shelter.
Because of his successful escape attempt and mischievous nature, the shelter was keen to get him rehomed as quickly as possible.

Thankfully, he was snatched up by his forever home almost immediately and lived happily ever after.
‘The officer is very private and wanted to stay out of the limelight,’ Polanski said. ‘We had to let the officer know we call him Officer Clean and that we appreciate him. He went above and beyond. He didn’t have to do that.’
Lost Our Home was founded in 2008 amid the housing crisis. At the time, Polanski worked as a mortgage banker and witnessed the mass displacement of families firsthand.
She saw how pets were abandoned in foreclosed homes or dumped at shelters, with the owners having no other choice.
Polanski and a small group of volunteers began the rescue, which quickly expanded to meet outstanding needs of the community.
Today, the shelter offers other programs including a pet food bank, low-income boarding program and a partnership with Sojourner Center in Phoenix, one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the country.
