Emma Stone has revealed herself as a huge Jeopardy! fan, and is desperate to compete herself.
The game show has been on our screens for around 60 years, having debuted in 1964, and sees contestants given an answer before they are asked to supply the trivia question.
Some of the biggest stars have appeared on the Celebrity Jeopardy! spin-off, including Jodie Foster, Ray Romano, Martha Stewart, Kelsey Grammer and Ashton Kutcher.
It turns out the Poor Things actress, 35, wants to give them all a run for their money – but has been rejected from the original series every single year.
During an appearance on Variety’s Award Circuit Podcast, a presenter fleetingly mentioned the series while asking a question, when Emma shared her serious love of the competition.
‘That’s my favorite show,’ she quickly interjected. ‘That’s my dream, I apply every June.’

When the host suggested she could pop up on the celebrity version, she insisted: ‘I don’t want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy! I really want to earn my stripes.
‘I would like to go on real Jeopardy! but you have to take the test and you can only take it once a year with your email address.
‘So every June, I take the quiz and they don’t tell you how you did. They just say, “We’ll let you know in the next nine-12 months if you got on the show.” Guess what, I haven’t got on the show.
‘I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right. I swear, I could go on Jeopardy!’
Fingers crossed this is Emma’s year!
It was all change on the series at the end of last year when Mayim Bialik announced that she would be back from hosting duties, after appearing on our screens for more than two years.
The former Big Bang Theory star first took over as presenter in May, 2021 and was later confirmed for a permanent role, beside Ken Jennings.

However, in December, she confirmed that her time on our screens was up after Sony bosses informed her that they would be making changes to production.
‘As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news,’ she said in a statement at the time. ‘Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!
‘I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family.
‘For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.’

Program bosses subsequently posted a statement on the official Jeopardy! account, adding: ‘Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!
‘We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!
‘We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to continue to work with her on primetime specials.’
