Chloe Madeley has spoken about her split from husband James Haskell and why they decided to end things.
The star, 36, who is the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, married DJ James, 38, in 2018.
They welcomed daughter Bodhi in August 2022, and recently the family starred in reality show Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair.
However the couple announced in October that they had split, sharing a statement after weeks of speculation their marriage was on the rocks.
Chloe and James continue to co-parent Bodhi and appear on good terms, with the mum-of-one calling James the ‘best dad’ as the trio enjoyed a family day out.
It’s not been revealed that Bodhi was part of the reason for their split, as Chloe did not want her daughter growing up with parents who were not happy together.

She said ‘people seem to think that you should stay together for the children but, actually, we made the decision [to split] for Bodhi more than anything.’
‘It wasn’t good and we want her to feel like she has a happy, healthy and loving family unit. So we made the best decision for her,’ she told OK! Magazine.
Since breaking up, Chloe says her and James’ relationship is better than ever, and they both still make time to be with Bodhi as a family unit.
‘I think for our first Christmas as co-parents, we nailed it,’ she said, as the trio spent the holiday together.
As for trying to save their relationship, ‘we really, really tried our best. But ultimately his life was going in one direction and mine was going in a completely different direction.

‘It became very hard and it just stopped being good. It was quite bad.’
In the statement announcing their split, Chloe and James made it clear that Bodhi would be their main focus.
James’s social media statement began by announcing that they had ‘mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023’.
‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand,’ the message continued.
‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time,’ James added.
