Princess Anne calls King Charles ‘old bean’
Princess Anne says Queen Camilla is not a “natural” in her royal role – but something she is doing well at.
Appearing in the new King Charles III documentary, the Princess Royal has received praise for being her genuine self – as always.
She said: “I’ve known [Camilla] a long time off and on. Her understanding of the role and how much difference it makes to the King has been absolutely outstanding.”
Anne then goes onto add: “This role is not something that she’d be a natural for but she does it really well.
“She provides that change of speed and tone, that’s equally important.”

Anne’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was in this role for 70 years, so, it’s understandable that she’s used to the job being done in a certain way, by a certain person, and it’d be hard to picture anyone doing it.
Camilla has her full endorsement though after a sterling first year on the throne, with Anne praising her as “absolutely outstanding.”
