Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has invited fellow professional dancer Carlos Gu to experience his ‘first British Christmas’ with her.
The Welsh dancer, 33, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and had to sit out this season of the dancing series while she underwent treatment.
Last month Amy, who started on the show in 2017, finished chemotherapy and soon after made a surprise appearance on the Strictly finale.
Now she’s been celebrating the festive season with loved ones, including dancer Carlos, 30, who is from China and joined the series last year.
Posting a series of photos on social media, Amy shared an update with her followers on her plans for Christmas, as well as a message to those struggling at this time of year.
‘Cherish every moment and everyone in your life! Merry Christmas all!’ she began.
She shared a series of photos with her family too, including with husband Benjamin Jones (Picture: Amy Dowden/ Instagram)
‘We have @gkx_carlos with us having his first British Christmas!
‘Sending Welsh love to all, especially thinking of those who may find this time of year difficult. #merrychristmaseveryone.’
The first photo showed Amy posing in front of a Christmas tree with husband Benjamin Jones, while others showed her family at a dinner.

Another sweet snap taken with Carlos and her twin sister Becky saw the pair raising glasses together at a candlelit table.
In another, Amy and Carlos hugged while smiling for the camera.
Their fellow Strictly pro Dianne Buswell, who is currently home in Australia for Christmas with her family, commented: ‘I just love this !!! Merry Christmas you beautiful, beautiful people.’
Her post comes a few days after Amy documented her last hospital appointment before Christmas.
On Thursday Amy shared a selfie with Ben, also a dancer.
‘Last apt before Christmas! Then we are getting into Christmas spirit and taking our lovely @artinmotion.dance teachers out! Rrrrrrready to spend Christmas with my loved ones,’ she wrote.
Artinmotion, or the AIM Dance Academy, is a dance academy based in the West Midlands that was founded by the couple in 2016.

In it, she was wearing a Christmas jumper, while Ben sat on a chair in the background.
In a second post shared on her Instagram story, Amy revealed an injection, which she jokingly described as an ‘Early Xmas present.’
‘Cancer – the gift that keeps on giving,’ she quipped underneath the image.
After getting married in July last year, Amy found a lump in her breast the day before they flew to the Maldives for a belated honeymoon.
Strictly Come Dancing is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
