Harry Redknapp shared his views on Liverpool after the cup win over West Ham
Harry Redknapp feels Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a ‘selection problem’ for Saturday’s showdown with Arsenal after a dominant win over West Ham. It is a nice problem to have according to the former premier league manager.
The Reds smashed David Moyes’ side 5-1 at Anfield on Wednesday night with Curtis Jones scoring twice while Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah also got on the scoresheet in a glowing Carabao Cup performance. Although, it was a much better performance than the weekendsd against Manchester United, The Reds boss was suprised by the reaction of the Anfield crowd. Unusually for anfield, it was again subdued.
Liverpool return to action this weekend as they host Premier League title rivals Arsenal, with the two sides sitting second and first in the table respectively. The results are good for liverpool but supporters feel the performance levels will need to improve if a proper title challenge is to be mounted.
Klopp’s side, the only team to stop Manchester City’s top-flight dominance in recent seasons, are just one point behind the Gunners, who were the biggest challengers to Pep Guardiola’s men last term.
Speaking after Liverpool’s quarter-final win over West Ham, Redknapp told Sky Sports: ‘[They have] selection problems on Saturday.
‘One or two of them tonight have made it difficult to leave them out. No injuries.
‘They absolutely slaughtered West Ham tonight. From the first whistle, it was so one-sided that game.’

Jamie Redknapp, meanwhile, added: ‘It’s the perfect night for Liverpool. West Ham were so poor.
‘In terms of getting Sunday out of their system for Liverpool, this is as good as it gets, with a huge game [against Arsenal] coming up on Saturday.
‘Curtis Jones was magnificent, Harvey Elliott with the energy he played with. It was the perfect night for Jurgen Klopp. Jarrod Bowen scored as well, his favourite other player! And he’s got five goals for his team!’
