Strictly Come Dancing icon Bobby Brazier left fans baffled over a joke he made about Dianne Buswell.
The EastEnders star, 20, appeared on Loose Women with dad Jeff Brazier after becoming a household name from this year’s season of Strictly.
While he didn’t win – that honour went to Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola – Bobby captured the hearts of viewers with his enthusiasm, heartbreaking tribute to mum Jade Goody, and relationship with professional dance partner Dianne, 34.
Bobby and Dianne became incredibly close during their time on the show, and may – like many friends – enjoy poking fun at one another.
But for viewers of Loose Women, a joke Bobby made about Dianne’s age didn’t exactly go down well.
Chatting on the show, Bobby began by admitting he ‘misses Dianne’ and feels ‘lost’ without her, joking ‘how long can eating ice cream for breakfast last?’
But later in the conversation, when noted he had ‘really grown up’ during his time on Strictly, he added candidly: ‘Well I have been hanging around an old lady for the last three of four months.’

Jeff was quick to jump in, warning ‘that’s unfair on Dianne … you’ll be in trouble if she’s watching this.’
Viewers took to Twitter, aka X, questioning whether they heard the comment correctly, with one writing it was a ‘bit rude.’
User Joanne said it was ‘not called for,’ while John Locke said it was ‘rude … in a room with all older women as well./’
And as user Blossom put it: ‘Bobby calling Dianne old? She’s only 34, not exactly pulling the pension yet.’

Bobby said learning to dance with Dianne was something he ‘fell in love with’.
‘I fell in love with telling a story,’ he explained, whether it was about joy or grief, ‘the ability to express myself with Dianne through the mean of a dance…’
He agreed he’s got a newfound love for musicals and showtunes – so don’t rule out seeing him in the West End in future.
As one of the one of the stand-out stars of the programme, offers are already said to be piling up for the young actor.
It was recently reported that the star is being eyed up by the BBC to present a travelogue show with dad Jeff.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
