Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has returned to Australia to reunite with her sick father.
The professional dancer, 34, left the UK soon after last weekend’s Strictly final, during which she was named a runner-up alongside dance partner, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, 20.
Last month Dianne revealed her dad Mark was unwell after appearing visibly emotional during the BBC dancing series.
She went on to explain that he’d been diagnosed with a health condition and that a planned trip for her parents to come see her had been put on hold and she would instead be going home for Christmas.
Soon after she revealed he had also begun chemotherapy treatment.
Now, just days after the latest season of Strictly wrapped up, Dianne has shared a sweet snap after arriving home to her parent’s place in Bunbury, Western Australia.

Posting a photo with her dad, Dianne captioned her Instagram post: ‘And from the concert to having our first morning coffee ❤️🥰 I’m home 🙏😊 @mark.3802.’
In it, they were both in their PJ’s and holding up a cup of coffee each while sitting outside.
Her post referenced the way her dad referred to the Strictly live shows, which Mark called ‘concerts’ when he sent his daughter messages of support ahead of each show, which she would then share with her followers.

She was sent many sweet messages from fans and colleagues alike on her latest post, with Strictly winner Vito Coppola writing ‘Oh yesss’ alongside a series of love heart emojis on her post.
Ola Jordan added: ‘Aww that’s lovely. He’s got his baby back with him now x.’
Her boyfriend Joe Sugg also made the trip Down Under with Dianne, posting a photo of her on the flight on social media before later sharing a snap of their feet in the sand on a beach as the sun set.
A few weeks back she shared a photo of her dad in a hospital bed following his first round of treatment and said she wished she could ‘be there to hold your hand and support you in person’.
When first revealing her dad was unwell, Dianne said she was heartbroken to be so far away from her family.
‘Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing so I did struggle a little bit last week in terms of that,’ she shared.
Strictly Come Dancing is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
