Alec Baldwin lost his cool when he was caught up in a pro-Palestine rally in NYC on Monday.

The A-list actor, 65, was on his way to teach an acting class when he was surrounded by demonstrators.

Asked for his views on the Israel-Hamas war, Alec replied: ‘I support peace for Gaza.’

However, Alec – who was escorted through the crowd by police – became irritated after being asked a ‘stupid’ question by a demonstrator.

At one point, someone could be heard telling Alec he ‘has no shame’.

When asked about his stance on the ongoing war, the 30 Rock star could be heard saying: ‘Because I’m in Hollywood? You ask stupid questions. Ask me a smart question.’

Alec then told an unidentified man to ‘shut the f**k up’ as he was escorted from the crowd.

According to Yashar Al, a HuffPost reporter, Alec got caught up in the protest while on his way to teach an acting class.

Yashar tweeted on Monday: ‘From a source close to Alec Baldwin: “He had no intention of going to the protest and was not involved in any way,” the insider explained. “He was approached aggressively and repeatedly. The police stepped in to avoid further confrontation so he could make his way to the class safely”.’

So far, more than 18,800 people – an estimated 10,000 infants and children included – have been killed in the Gaza Strip and over 55,000 have been wounded in the enclave.

1.9million people in Gaza have been displaced – nearly 85% of the population.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has continued to shrug off calls from humanitarian agencies and peace protesters pleading for a ceasefire.

From a source close to Alec Baldwin:

“Alec was on his way to volunteer to teach an acting class. He had no intention of going to the protest and was not involved in any way. He was approached aggressively and repeatedly. The police stepped in to avoid further confrontation so… https://t.co/0ZZvNzoFJG

The Israel-Hamas fighting was sparked by the events of October 7, when militant group Hamas launched horrific aerial and ground attacks on Israel.

Israeli officials say at least 1,400 people – many civilians – were killed in the attacks.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Alec’s reps for comment.
