Strictly star appears to be looking worse for wear ahead of finale

Strictly Come Dancing star Eddie Kadi appears to be struggling ahead of returning to the dancefloor for the final.

The latest season of the BBC dancing series will come to a close tonight, with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and Bad Education’s Layton Williams all in the running to tale out the Glitterball Trophy.

But before the winner is announced, the stars of this season will also be performing together again, including comedian Eddie, 40.

Paired up with professional dancer Karen Hauer, the partners were the fourth couple eliminated, with Eddie saying at the time competing on the series was something he’d ‘always wanted to do’.

‘This has been the highest moment of my career – it’s the happiest I’ve ever been,’ he said.

However ahead of returning to the show, Eddie looks like he might be battling to dance after appearing worse for wear.

On Saturday afternoon, radio presenter Nikita Kanda shared a video of them backstage ahead of the final rehearsals.

Sitting on a couch, Nikita had a pair of sunglasses on inside and was wrapped in a large scarf, before turning the camera to Eddie, who was sitting next to her.

Leaning back, he looked to be in a bit of pain as he closed his eyes and grabbed his head as he sat talking on the phone.

‘Someone had a very heavy night yeah,’ she posted alongside a laughing face emoji.

As she laughed at him, Eddie eventually ended his phone call and looked slightly embarrassed.

While he might have been battling the consequences of a late night out, another Strictly star appeared to have also been struggling before dancing again.

This morning he posted a story on social media which simply said ‘I HATE ARTHRITIS’.

Just two days after being announced as part of the Strictly line-up, the Waterloo Road star revealed he’d been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, later sharing he was ‘struggling and in pain’ while competing.

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
