Dean takes further action to torment struggling Linda (Picture: BBC / Jack Barnes / Kieron McCarron)
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) wants answers from Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) in EastEnders next week when a showdown ensues between the two after the vile rapist yet again takes shocking action.
The Queen Vic landlady’s world was turned upside down at Halloween when Dean, who raped her nine years earlier, returned to the Square, confirming that he’s here to stay.
Despite having evaded justice for his crimes, Dean did previously admit to assaulting Linda during a showdown back in 2015, though since his return he once again claims to be innocent, desperately trying to convince everyone that Linda lied.
The rapist showed his true colours once again when he ended up falling down the stairs following a showdown with George Knight (Colin Salmon), with subsequent scenes seeing him blackmail Linda into saying aloud that he didn’t rape her, otherwise he would ensure George was sent to prison.
Linda agreed to give him what he wanted, unaware that Dean was secretly recording her false confession, which he subsequently played aloud in the bar of the Queen Vic.

This ordeal, coupled with the fact that it’s been a whole year since Mick (Danny Dyer) vanished at sea, left recovering alcoholic Linda seeking solace in the booze as she relapsed.
With speculation that Dean could be the mystery body that winds up dead on Christmas Day, there is much more to come, with Linda’s trauma set to continue in the coming episodes.

In fact, the matriarch gets the biggest shock of all next week when she receives a text message.
‘She gets a text from Mick, or so she thinks,’ actress Kellie Bright told Metro.co.uk. ‘It’s not Mick.
‘Three guesses, who do you think it is? It’s Dean!’

Mick, as fans will recall, vanished at sea last year while trying to save Linda from the treacherous waves following a car accident, unaware she’d already made it safely to shore.
Linda has struggled to come to terms with the fact that her beloved soulmate is gone for good, so cruel Dean’s antics knock her for six, leading to the two having something of an explosive showdown, as revealed in these new pictures.

‘There is a moment between the two of them and actually what Linda thinks is going to be the outcome of that conversation is not what the outcome is,’ teased star Kellie.
‘And let’s just say it leaves her not in the place where she wants to be.’
