Evil Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) has been upsetting the locals on Albert Square since his return to EastEnders on Halloween night, though there is one character who seems to be warming to him.
It is no secret in Walford that Dean is a vile man, having raped Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and attempted to rape Roxy Mitchell, and since his return people have made it clear that he isn’t welcome.
However, tonight’s (December 11) episode saw Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) make time for Dean, despite her previous acts of vandalism against his shop.
The episode saw the arrival of Dean’s ill daughter Jade (Elizabeth Green), who was quick to head into the Queen Vic and try her luck at getting a drink.
Linda was quick to realise who she was and made it clear she wasn’t welcome, though Gina took a more gentle approach as she told Jade where she’d be able to find her dad.

Jade was quick to point out Gina’s bracelet and shared her jealousy over Gina’s time in Marbella, before Dean arrived and put a stop to their conversation.
Things between dad and daughter didn’t go well, and soon Jade was back in the pub and struggling for breath, and Gina was quick to offer her help.
As the pair sat together, Gina opened up about her own struggles with her parents, and told Jade that she needed to give Dean a chance, despite knowing what he was really like.

She soon accompanied Jade to Beale’s Eels, where she informed Dean that she could tell he was trying to make up for not being in Jade’s life.
He explained that it was Jade’s mum who had stopped him from seeing her, but admitted that he’d rather be considered a deadbeat dad than a rapist – claims that he continues to deny despite the fact that he is guilty.

It was then that Gina gave Jade the bracelet she had been admiring earlier, before heading back to the Vic, where Dean would later pay her a visit.
When Gina warned him that he wasn’t supposed to be there, he offered her some money for the bracelet, promising that it would be their little secret.
Is Gina starting to grow close to rapist Dean? How would Linda react if she found out, and could Gina end up in serious trouble?
