The moment that Frasier fans have been calling out for finally happened in the season finale of the reboot, when Roz Doyle returned to our screens.
It was previously confirmed that Peri Gilpin, who played the radio producer for all 11 seasons of the original series, would be reprising her role for a cameo.
She popped up in the latest episode as part of an elaborate Christmas surprise for Frasier (Kelsey Grammer), thanks to the efforts of his son, Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott).
Despite only being on our screens for a matter of minutes – much of which was sent sassing her former boss – viewers were left emotional by her appearance and their short reunion.
Flocking to social media to discuss the scenes, a Twitter user penned: ‘Seeing Roz and Frasier together again. Instant tears. #Frasier.’
‘It was absolutely wonderful to see Roz back on #Frasier,’ another replied. ‘Peri Gilpin and Kelsey Grammer seem to have the same chemistry they did on Frasier.’

‘Welcome back Roz Hopefully, Niles and Daphne follow in season 2,’ a follower said. ‘Real tear jerker in the season finale, (Yes, I cried). #Frasier.’
‘I started crying when Roz came on! It was amazing to see them together again,’ a Reddit fan wrote.
As one added: ‘This one really made me laugh and even tear up at several moments.’
Honestly, same.

Peri isn’t the only famous face to return for the Paramount+ revival, as Bebe Neuwirth went back to her Lilith roots for a recent instalment – but David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves previously insisted that they would be taking a back seat.
When we last saw Roz, she was promoted to the role of KACL station manager, remaining in Seattle while best pal Frasier jetted out to Chicago to pursue a romance with Charlotte (Laura Linney).
Spilling the beans on her cameo, the actress teased the possibility of returning again in the future.
‘It was fun to revisit and felt really good. I wasn’t expecting it not to be, but I really was surprised at how great it felt to be there again,’ she told The Wrap.
‘I genuinely love this character. So I would love to do it [again]. It just depends on what happens next.’
Frasier is available to stream on Paramount+ now.
