Paddy McGuinness and Rebecca Ferguson caused chaos on Tuesday’s The One Show and it was utterly hilarious.
The 50-year-old funnyman and the 40-year-old A-list star swung by the BBC studio to chat to Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas about their upcoming projects, with the former speaking about his new comedy show, Nearly There.
But things took a turn when Swedish actress Rebecca struggled to understand Bolton-born Paddy’s pronunciation of ‘there’.
As Paddy and Rebecca got stuck into an almighty back and forth about the correct pronunciation, former footballer Jermaine burst into laughter as Alex quipped: ‘It’s Paddy isn’t it? It always derails when he comes [on the show].’
Paddy recently confirmed that he’d be taking his comedy show on tour, saying in a press release: ‘It’s been eight years since my last tour and there’s lots of things to laugh about! I’m looking forward to getting back in front of a live audience, along with running the gauntlet of cancel culture, click bait and fake news.’
Paddy’s The One Show appearance comes weeks after he was forced to leave Channel 4 show Don’t Look Down due to ‘co-parenting’ issues.

The former Take Me Out presenter, who shares three children, Penelope and Leo, ten, and Felicity, seven, with his ex-wife Christine McGuinness, 35, was among the celebrities taking on terrifying challenges to raise money for charity.
But Paddy, who split from Christine after 11 years of marriage, was forced to cut his time short on an October episode to take over caring responsibilities for their children.
Before leaving the Austrian training camp of the hit show, the Phoenix Nights star told the group: ‘Unfortunately today I’ve got to go home and I might not be back for at least a week. Co-parenting… We’ve no one at all to help us with the kids.’
