As much as she tries, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) just can’t shake her feelings of jealousy when it comes to Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Isla in Coronation Street.
Isla is Asha’s paramedic mentor. Ever since she started her new job, Asha hasn’t stopped talking about Isla. While Asha is impressed by her new friend and loves learning from her, it’s obviously made Nina feel isolated.
The trouble continued in Monday’s (December 4) episode, as Asha planned to meet Isla with the intention of studying.
However, when Isla arrived, she said she’d rather get drunk in the Bistro instead.

There, Isla and Asha laughed, drank wine, chatted about work and also relationships.
A drunk Isla then challenged Asha to an arm wrestle. The deal was if Isla won, Asha would stay for another drink but if she lost, Asha could go home and study.

But as it got underway, Nina arrived and was concerned to see her girlfriend holding Isla’s hand.
As Isla left, things remained awkward between Nina and Asha.
When Nina headed out, Asha was aware something needed to change so she called her supervisor and said she’d like to have a different mentor.

While Asha’s focus shifted, Nina was in the Bistro talking to Shona (Julia Goulding) about how she’s been feeling.
Wanting to help, Shona took Nina’s phone and changed her name in the contacts folder to ‘Rob’.

Shona then sent a fake text pretending to be Rob, telling Nina it’s Asha’s turn to realise what a good thing she has.
But if Shona continues sending the messages, will this help Nina and Asha’s relationship?
