Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) have been struggling to communicate in the aftermath of Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) going missing in Emmerdale.

Chloe disappeared a few weeks ago after she was dumped by Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb). At first, Mack believed Chloe was taking the break-up well and hoped they’d be able to work together to co-parent Reuben, but he then found her putting bags into the boot of her car and planning a departure.

Initially, no-one could work out where Chloe had gone but yesterday, we discovered Amy knew where she was staying.

Amy found Chloe in a small flat in Leeds. There, she told her sister to return home for Reuben’s sake, but a defiant Chloe refused to budge, convinced heading back to the Dales would mean Mack had won.

In Friday’s (December 1) episode of the ITV soap, Matty and Amy were chatting to Moira (Natalie J Robb).

Amy then made a comment about getting a bus and Moira offered to drive her into Hotten instead.

She told Moira she wasn’t actually going to Hotten, but Matty then tried to tell Amy that she was.

The awkward moment left Moira puzzled and when Amy eventually returned home, Matty wondered why she had lied.

Amy told Matty where Chloe was staying, but argued that she kept it a secret in case he told Mackenzie.

Hurt by the lack of trust, Matty was warned by Amy that if he doesn’t keep quiet, it could seriously impact the future of their relationship.
