Singing isn’t Ed Sheeran’s only career move it seems as the hitmaker declares his top choice to step into the boxing ring with.
With a cheeky grin, the Thinking Out Loud chart-topper – who is worth an estimated $200 million (£160 million) – called out his friend Lewis Capaldi.
Lewis, 27, has been having some time out of the spotlight since his Tourette’s diagnosis but that doesn’t mean he’s snuck away from Ed’s watchful gaze.
The 32-year-old singer is a keen boxing fan and appeared as a surprise ringside guest for Katie Taylor in a super-lightweight clash with Chantelle Cameron.
After watching Taylor win the match via majority decision at the 3Arena in Dublin on Saturday, Ed was asked about who he’d like to square up with.
He first answered that he would fight his dad – ‘definitely’ – but changed his mind and gave the Before You Go hitmaker some serious smack talk.

When prompted to name an artist by the interviewer, Ed – without hesitation – said: ‘Capaldi, yeah yeah yeah.’
Jokingly chiming in off screen, Matchroom Boxing’s Frank Smith replied: ‘Yeah, we’ll get that [done].’
‘I’d do it,’ Ed cut in, making sure it was clear he was down for this fight before adding a rather expletive threat to Lewis – a quick warning for his not so polite language here.
The singer, who was recently seen with his wife Cherry Seaborn for the first time in months, aggressively added: ‘Lewis, I’ll f***ing have you, c**t.’

Fans were quick to say Lewis could ‘easily’ take him but others pointed out the four time Grammy winner’s granddad was a boxer so it’s in his blood.
Lewis has been keeping fairly quiet since Glastonbury performance, after which he decided to take a step back from performing.
He’s appeared once at a surprise show with the Vamps as well as becoming the ultimate duo with Emma Watson at Wimbledon in July.
Despite his step away from the stage, Lewis’ friend Roman Kemp presented him with the Game Changer award at the Rolling Stone UK Awards on Thursday, November 23, in London.
The Someone You Loved chart-topper was not able to attend, leading to Roman giving a heartwarming speech about his health.

‘You can see how much he tried to get through that all whilst battling with something that he was going through in his personal life,’ shared the 30-year-old presenter.
‘That’s Tourettes. That’s something Lewis lives with every single day and is dealing with part of him, part of who he is.’
The music industry and fans have rallied around the singer after his heartbreaking documentary How I’m Feeling Now was released showing the extent of his struggles.
Roman continued: ‘To be able to say you know what I’m not going to walk out in front of thousands of people, I’m not gonna walk out to adoring fans and people to sing my name every night.
‘I’m gonna go back and I’m gonna look after myself, that my friends is a real f**king rockstar. That’s Lewis Capaldi.’
