Amy Dowden is feeling like she’s in ‘limbo’ with her monthly injection appointments.
The 33-year-old Strictly Come Dancing pro, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May – has been undergoing treatment and recently finished chemotherapy and she admitted it’s a bit ‘strange’ now her routine has gone.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a video of the moment she rang the cancer treatment bell earlier this month.
She wrote on Thursday: ‘Can’t believe it’s a whole two weeks ago! I’m off to the unit again today for my monthly injection.
‘But it does feel strange as when your in chemo cycles there’s such a routine and atm you feel a little in limbo!
‘But still so very proud of this moment!’

Last week, the dancer revealed she had fractured her foot and needed to wear a medical boot, which sadly put an end to her plans of joining her fellow pros on the dancefloor this series after being unable to take part in the competition.
‘Not the week I was hoping for since finishing chemo. Port out but unfortunately gained a boot for a fractured foot. 💔,’ Amy had posted days before last weekend’s big Blackpool show.
‘Absolutely gutted and heartbroken as this means the plans for me to dance in the Strictly Ballroom this year are no longer possible. This is what has kept me going the past few months.
‘2023 is certainly not my year, roll on 2024 I say!’

She later shared an emotional update, saying in a clip, where she looked more cheerful: ‘I’ll pop in and see the guys tomorrow, I watched some more dancing, and it’s definitely cheered me up.
‘I’ve not smiled since Tuesday and now I’m smiling again. Just watched some wonderful dancing tonight and I’ll continue to do so over the weekend.’
She added that the support she’s received ‘means the world’, concluding: ‘It’s been a rubbish week, but feeling better now.’
Earlier this year, Amy revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, before undergoing a mastectomy in July.
The dancer began chemotherapy after doctors discovered more tumours, before ringing the bell to mark her final round of treatment this month.
