Richard Madeley made an awkward blunder live on Good Morning Britain while talking about his daughter Chloe’s ex James Haskell.
The TV presenter, 67, made the error during a chat about I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, remembering when the former rugby player appeared on the reality show in 2019.
Richard commented to his co-host Susanna Reid: ‘It is early days, I remember when my son-in-law James Haskell was in the jungle doing really well and riding high in the polls and then he lost it.’
‘He got into a massive row in camp, blew his stack and that was that!’
The accidental mention of James as his son-in-law comes after the 38-year-old and Chloe, 36 – who are parents to 15-month-old daughter Bodhi – announced their separation.
Chloe, the daughter of broadcasters Richard and Judy Finnigan, and James both posted a statement to Instagram confirming they had split ‘amicably.’

They revealed they had ‘mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023’.
‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand,’ it continued.
‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.
‘Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.’
Alongside the statement James also typed: ‘It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done. My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.’

The pair wed in an intimate ceremony at a country church on December 16, 2018, welcoming daughter Bodhi four years later.
Speculation that they were separated began after Chloe was seen out with dad Richard without her wedding ring and James was spotted chatting to a woman outside the celebrity spot The Chiltern Firehouse on October 13.
Viewers appeared to notice cracks in their relationship during a recent episode of their reality series, when Chloe fumed at James for posting pictures with ‘girls in thongs’ during an uncomfortable scene.
He has since been spotted kissing a mystery woman goodbye while leaving the London Palladium.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
