Evicted Big Brother contestant Matty has revealed his boyfriend’s thoughts to the intense love triangle drama, and expressed regret over not asserting his boundaries more.
25-year-old doctor Matty was just days away from reaching the Big Brother final, but in a shock twist which he aptly branded ‘savage’, he was evicted from the house – leaving Jordan and Henry to carry on their romance.
While it’s safe to say that the Boris Johnson super-fan, 25, and lawyer Jordan, 26, left the triangle as their romance developed further, sharing some steamy moments in the hot-tub and even being left horrified when their fellow housemates walked in on them kissing in the bedroom, Matty faced a grilling during Late and Live on Thursday.
Speaking in front of his boyfriend, who viewers may remember from a certain meltdown in the house, Matty admitted things ‘did go a bit too far when we were all tickling each other and being stupid and play fighting’.
He’s now revealed what his boyfriend Connor thought about the whole situation, telling Metro.co.uk: ‘I wish I would have asserted my boundaries earlier with Jordan, just to stop things spiralling a bit and getting out of hand.

‘I wish I would have been firmer with him, just to let things stop.’
Matty went on to say that while all his actions that were shown on Big Brother did actually happen, it was such a small part of their day that became amplified.
He told us: ‘Everything that was filmed and showed actually did happen, like there’s no denying that 100%.
‘But it was much bigger outside than it was in the house, like even if you speak to all the housemates no one even knows it went on because for me it was 10 minutes out of my 24 hour day but to you guys it was 10 minutes out of 45 minute episode.
‘So I’m not denying it happened. Everything that happened, the cryptic words, the too-ing and fro-ing, the hot and coldness, that was all definitely a part of my experience. I guess it was a small part of my experience than it seems out here.’

Speaking about his boyfriend’s reaction to the drama, Matty added: ‘He thought it was just funny to be honest, like he knows… you could see that nothing was happening and that I was trying my best to try and be kind to my friend Jordan in the house, and trying to respect that we were in the same friend group and we were spending the whole day together as well and just trying to navigate that.
‘He understands that that must have been very hard in a pressure cooker, like the house.
‘I don’t know if I did the best job, all I know is that I tried to do the best I could that no one would get hurt.’
Talking about his infamous meltdown scene after realising that he wasn’t able to speak to Connor only to realise that it would have happened over video call, Matty, admitting he was mortified, shared: ‘It’s nice for him to know that I cared that much about it to be honest.
‘And also, I hadn’t cried yet in the house up to that point, after five weeks, and my lip was doing that horrible face I do, I can’t even bare to think about it.

‘My lip was doing that horrible lip quiver thing, I think I wasn’t able to have an emotional release so all the things, paranoia, everything in five weeks came out in that moment, and god did it come out.’
Matty’s brutal exit from the house was delivered by Yinrun, who burst into tears as she realised what was waiting for him at the end of the emotional letter from home she had been reading out.
Addressing the shocking way in which he was sent out, Matty, admitting he was ready to leave and ’emotionally exhausted’ said: ‘It’s funny because I had such a low day on that day, and I’d never seen my friends and family like other people had, so people were like, “Oh it’s going to be so important for Matty to get his letter, they’re leaving his letter until last because it’s so important.”
‘And it was important, but for a completely different reason.’
He continued: ‘If I wasn’t ready to go then I would have been upset, but because I was ready to go, it was just savage in its iconicness and funniness that I was backdoored from a letter from home.
‘That is awful, but if it could have happened to anyone, I’m glad it happened to me.’
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
