The Big Brother finale is just a day away, and fans are waiting with eager anticipation to find out who will take home the incredible £100,000 prize.
Going into the penultimate episode, there are six housemates left – Yinrun, Jordan, Noky, Henry, Olivia and Matty – and some are clear frontrunners to win, based on the adoring reactions they’ve had from viewers over the past six weeks.
There are many who think Yinrun could be a shoo-in to be crowned the winner, ahead of one more shocking eviction tonight – but there’s a chance Olivia could scoop the victory based on body language expert Judi James’ expertise.
In the final instalment of Metro.co.uk’s Big Brother’s Big Body Language for this year’s ITV2 series, Judi admitted that she wasn’t won over by Olivia bursting into tears in the Diary Room, after Jenkin and Tom’s parting words left her deeply upset.
‘I’ve got a long memory, and I remember the kind of things that she was doing to Yinrun at the start of it, picking on somebody that looked like the weakest person in the house, maybe that wouldn’t argue back. Picking on her for no reason apart from the fact that she was doing the washing up. I do need to remind people, because she did that more than once,’ she said.
‘I remember her banging around in the bedroom and keeping everybody awake, which for me would be a form of torture. Nobody really complained about that.’

Judi acknowledged that Olivia has ‘put in a load of effort’, saying that she ‘really admires her as a housemate’.
However, she would have preferred it if the dancer had kept acting in the same way that she has done previously in the House, rather than transforming into ‘epiphany Olivia’ because ‘suddenly her mates have all gone’.
The body language expert theorised that the 23-year-old wouldn’t be acting the way that she has been over the past few days – issuing apologies for past behaviour and crying over the idea of upsetting other contestants – if she hadn’t found herself in her present company of people, after the rest of her clique was evicted.

Watch Big Brother’s Big Body Language
Metro.co.uk has launched its new Big Brother’s Big Body Language series with body language expert Judi James, available to watch on our YouTube channel every Thursday from 6pm.
‘I can’t have enough respect for her for this change of heart, because I think it’s been caused by circumstances and not by what she really is. It’s like a little kid crying because suddenly they feel that they’re weak after they’ve actually been ruling the roost,’ she said.
Referencing how Olivia has gone from acting like ‘the child of the house’ to taking on a ‘critical parent role’ in the cleaning task, she added: ‘I cannot cope with people that suddenly switch roles as extensively, right up near the moment when they’re trying to get votes to win the whole thing.’
It’s this huge change in Olivia’s behaviour that could end up having huge implications for the final of Big Brother 2023, possibly toppling the long-time favourites to win.

Judi stressed that it’s understandable that Olivia might be feeling lonely in the House, despite the friendly environment being fostered by the remaining housemates.
However, she will ‘always keep in mind that there was another side to Olivia, and all the tears in the world won’t wash that away’ for her.
‘Suddenly she’s feeling upset about Jenkin and what she said, but she’s done a lot worse to the others,’ she stated.
Looking back on Olivia’s rollercoaster journey, which has seen her sway audience opinions on her left right and centre, Judi highlighted that she has been ‘a good housemate’ who’s ‘put in the graft’.
But for people who don’t want to see her win, that could be ‘worrying’.

‘I think that now she’s actually picking up momentum, which could be slightly worrying in a way, because people will suddenly think, “Oh, great, look at her. She’s turning into a nice person. Let’s vote for her,”’ Judi remarked.
‘So that’s probably put her in with a chance of winning, whereas characters like Yinrun who’ve been completely authentic all the way through and not changed, you’re not seeing two sides to her or anything like that. And that sometimes is not deemed to be as exciting when it comes to voting.’
Assessing the other remaining Big Brother housemates, Judi shone a light on how Jordan has become ‘more emotionally giving’ thanks to his blossoming relationship with Henry.
‘I think with Jordan, we’re seeing what looks like a man with this heart of ice who’s suddenly actually falling in love, and that’s why his body language seems to be showing that he’s becoming more emotionally giving. So there’s a good narrative for him for me – it would be good enough to get him to win,’ she said.

Henry is ‘authentic’ in the body language expert’s eyes, while Noky has ‘retained’ her ‘elegance’, which she believes could have fared well for her in the Celebrity Big Brother House, considering she was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain in 2022.
Nonetheless, Judi pointed out that it ‘doesn’t matter’ if it turns out that the stars of the Big Brother reboot are ‘fooling us’, as they’ve been ‘nicely convincing’ throughout an entertaining series.
‘For me, none of them, maybe with the exception of Olivia… I’m not seeing any blatant acting,’ she said.
‘If they are putting on an act and they can carry that act on for six weeks, they probably deserve to win anyway.’
Big Brother returns at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
