Some rescue animals have to wait longer than others to get their happy ending.
This was definitely the case for one three-legged German Shepherd, who was waiting a grand total of 209 days in the shelter, in search of her forever home.
Sweet Bunny had a rough start to life too, as the abandoned dog was in a real state of neglect when the RSPCA team found her.
The five-year-old dog had an open fracture and dislocation, which sadly resulted in her having one of her legs amputated.

Bunny has been waiting at the shelter for the last six-and-a-half months for someone to fall in love with her.
And her patience has finally paid off as the canine has now been adopted by a new, loving family.
An RSPCA spokesperson said: ‘It was so wonderful to finally see Bunny hop off to her new home, after spending 209 days in our care.
‘Bunny has needed a home with a family that are able to cater to her specific needs, which will change as time goes on.’

It follows on from a black cat, named Eddie, who waited 230 days in the shelter, before getting adopted.
But sadly, some animals have to wait even longer.
Beagle cross Bella, for example, was rejected 30 times by potential owners on the hunt for her forever home.
While last year we reported on ‘London’s loneliest dog’, who had been waiting in the shelter for more than 500 days.
