Chloe (Jessie Elland) has only just narrowly escaped a crushing Emmerdale death, and now she faces death again, much to Mack’s (Lawrence Robb) benefit. He now wants her out of the way so he can carry on with Charity (Emma Atkins).
Chloe has given him chance after chance, despite learning he’s cheated on her, and then finding out he chose to let her die in the car accident. Yet still she wants to make a life with him – despite her sister Amy’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) protestations.
He, on the other hand, wants Charity. While Chloe was in a coma, he declared his love for Charity, and later Charity decided to make her own true feelings known.
Now Mack and Charity are trying to find a way to avoid their feelings, but it’s not working, and Chloe is set for another fall (albeit slightly less literal).

Charity decides to head to Scotland to escape her feelings for Mackenzie but he’s having none of it, blocking her exit by laying down in front of her car. You could almost call him romantic.

Mack vows to give Chloe the elbow and focus on Charity full time. Charity considers, and then later gives Mack the good news that she’s on board with the plan.
