Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) has found himself in a whole heap of trouble in recent EastEnders scenes after foolishly accepting a loan from nasty Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
Rocky’s finances have been practically non-existent since ex-wife Jo (Vicki Michelle) turned up and demanded £50,000 to keep quiet about his bigamy.
Luckily, blushing bride Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was prepared to stand by her man and stump up the cash, under the impression that Rocky would work to pay it back.
However, Rocky’s gambling addiction has stood in the way of his loan repayments, leaving him in more and more debt.

Pushed to the limit, Rocky came up with the bright idea to set fire to Kathy’s café in order to claim on the insurance.
According to Rocky, it was the perfect plan. Not only would it allow him to pay off his debts to Nish and help to pay Kathy back for the money she gave to Jo, but also give Kathy the opportunity to give the whole place a spruce up.
What he hadn’t bargained for was for Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) to spot the blaze and attempt to put it out, or for brother Peter (Thomas Law) to run in after him, or for all three of the to end up hospitalised.

With Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) having already laid into Kathy about being responsible for the fire, Kathy is later taken in for questioning by police.
After a night of rigorous interrogation, Kathy regrets turning down a solicitor, unaware that she is actually totally innocent.

Meanwhile, Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), who was well aware of Rocky’s plan, accosts his mate and demands that he come clean to save his wife.
As Rocky heads to the police station, will he reveal all to save Kathy? Or will he let her take the fall for his stupidity?
