James Maddison has hit back at John Terry’s Tottenham taunt after Chelsea’s 4-1 victory on Monday evening.
Dejan Kulusevski gave Spurs an early lead but Ange Postecoglou’s side were reduced to 10 men in the 33rd minute following Cristian Romero’s red card on Enzo Fernandez inside the area, which allowed Cole Palmer to equalise for Chelsea from the penalty spot.
Spurs were then down to nine men in the 55th minute when Destiny Udogie was given his second yellow card of the game, while Nicolas Jackson went on to score a hat-trick to seal Chelsea’s 4-1 win.
On Tuesday, Terry posted a video on Instagram of his celebrations after the game as he danced and sang with his wife Toni.
Terry captioned the video: ‘When Chelsea beat Spurs 4-1 on a school night and the tequila comes out, and you end up dancing and singing on the bar.’
Spurs midfielder Maddison then fired back in the comments: ‘Jesus, u have ur closed when it was 11 v 11 first 15 JT?’
Terry then replied with a laughing emoji and wrote: ‘Don’t worry mate you will get used to it.’

Meanwhile, Conor Gallagher, who was involved in an altercation with Yves Bissouma after the full-time whistle, described Chelsea’s win as ‘the craziest game’.
‘It was the weirdest game I’ve played in I think,’ said Gallagher.
‘It was the craziest game, but in the end I’m buzzing with the win, which was all we needed. So it was a strange game but a good one.
‘It was crazy. Honestly, I didn’t know what was going on, but at the end of the day it’s three points and we move on.
‘It’s a massive win. We’ve got a tough run of games so we’re staying focused and moving on to the next one, which is going to be massive again. So we’re looking forward to getting back to work and preparing for the next game.’
