Marcus Rashford has returned to training ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old missed Saturday’s dramatic 1-0 win over Fulham after picking up a knock in training, left out of the matchday squad at Craven Cottage as a result.
It followed the incident where the England international celebrated his birthday at a Manchester nightclub just hours after United’s heavy derby defeat to Manchester City, with ten Hag later labelling that decision ‘unacceptable’.
Rashford apologised to his manager with ten Hag insisting Rashford would have been in his squad on Saturday had he passed a late fitness test.
Alejandro Garnacho impressed in his absence on the left in the win over Fulham but Rashford will hope to regain his place this week after rejoining first-team training at Carrington on Monday.
Victor Lindelof was also part of the group after missing the trip to west London through illness.
Kobbie Mainoo was not pictured with the group but the 18-year-old is fit and could be involved in Champions League action on Wednesday. The squad is set to fly out to the Danish capital this afternoon.

United lost their opening Champions League group matches away at Bayern Munich and at home to Galatasaray, conceding seven goals in the process.
They kept their hopes of qualification alive with a 1-0 win over this week’s opposition at Old Trafford last time out – with Harry Maguire scoring the winning goal and Andre Onana making a dramatic last-minute penalty safe to get his side across the line.
Rashford scored 30 times during a superb 2022-23 season, signing a new five-year contract in the summer.
The forward has scored just one goal this term however – in a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal back in September – in what has been a difficult campaign both for him and the club.
On Monday, Rashford hit out at YouTube channel United We Stand who uploaded a video discussing his future with the title: ‘Rashford’s future in doubt?!’
But, replying to the video on X, Rashford urged them to stop spreading unfounded rumours. ‘Please STOP spreading malicious rumours,’ wrote Rashford.
