Metro – The Wrath of Ciaran
The Metro says gusts of 104mph were recorded as Storm Ciaran caused “widespread havoc”.
The paper said Britain took a “hammering” from Storm Ciarán on Thursday. It reports that 127,000 homes were left without power, railways were blocked and families were evacuated from holiday parks.
