Travis Kelce has revealed that he gets ‘protective’ over Taylor Swift on date nights.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, started dating the Cruel Summer singer, 33, recently, and they have been inseparable ever since.
The lovebirds recently packed on the PDA as they made their couple debut on Saturday night, while heading into a Saturday Night Live after party – following separate appearances on the program.
In the snaps, which quickly went viral, he subtly moved a security guard out of the way so that he could open the door for his girlfriend – a move the athlete was questioned on during the latest episode of his New Heights podcast.
‘Did you get any pushback from any actual security guards about pushing them out of the way one night?’ Jason Kelce, of the Philadelphia Eagles, asked.
‘Pushing them out of the way?’ he replied, as his brother poked: ‘I mean it’s on camera.’

‘I didn’t push him. I placed my hand on the gentleman’s back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me,’ Travis continued.
‘”Good sir, can you excuse me? I need to get the door. Sorry. Thank you. I’m right behind you. Don’t want to startle you. I know it’s your job to keep crazy people away and if you just randomly get pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that can probably be a little alarming.”
‘They’re great, they’re good people.’
When asked if he feels ‘like a security guard’ when out with Taylor, due to his height and build, the Super Bowl champion admitted that he can be ‘protective’ on all dates.

‘I feel like whenever I’m on a date I feel the sense of, “I’m a man in this situation; I’m protective.” Yeah, for sure. You always have that feeling or that self-awareness I guess,’ he said.
Digging a little deeper, Jason queried: ‘What seat do you choose [at the restaurant]? You choose the seat with the best view of all of your potential threats within the establishment.
‘It’s your job to protect, Travis, so it’s your job to have the best view.’
‘No, you just got to know where the exits are,’ Travis added.

Travis and Taylor were romantically linked last month, and have rarely been out of the headlines ever since.
The Shake It Off musician sent Swifties into meltdown when she was spotted in the stands while watching her beau’s NFL games – but their joint strut on Saturday marked the first time they publicly confirmed the dating rumors.
Taylor was absent as Travis cheered on Jason at the Eagles game on Sunday, but they reconnected for another date night on Sunday evening.
All eyes will be on whether she makes another appearance in his suite at Arrowhead for the next Kansas City Chiefs match this weekend.
