Mason Greenwood speaks out after Manchester United loanee scores first Getafe goal
The Metro says Mason Greenwood was delighted to register his first goal for Getafe after he joined the Spanish side on loan from Manchester United this summer.
Greenwood left Old Trafford in August following the club’s internal investigation into his actions and headed to La Liga on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old was suspended by United in January 2022 after he was arrested and subsequently charged by Manchester Police with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault.
All charges against Greenwood were dropped in February but United decided to conduct their own probe, eventually deciding to loan the player out to Getafe.
