Metro – A new level of horror as middle east erupts: Merciless
The Metro leads on the outbreak of violence in Israel, with two pictures showing death and destruction in both Tel Aviv and Gaza, under the heading “Merciless”.
“A new level of horror as Middle East erupts” the headline says.
In Tel Aviv a woman is comforted after a rocket attack, while in the Gaza the man surveys rubble left by an Israeli air raid. The paper reports Israel launched “ferocious revenge attacks” after Hamas militants killed more than 600 people and took 100 hostages in the “bloodiest day of terror in 50 years” against the Jewish state.
