Lewis Hamilton calls for Formula 1 to bring in ‘AI’ after Max Verstappen controversy
The Metro says Sir Lewis Hamilton has suggested that Formula One use Artificial Intelligence after the race stewards failed to give Max Verstappen a penalty during the Singapore Grand Prix.
During qualifying in Singapore two weeks ago, Verstappen found himself under investigation by the stewards for three separate incidents.
One of those was for impeding Yuki Tsunoda – a mistake the runaway championship leader actually owned up to – and many expected that for that incident alone he would receive a three-place grid penalty.
However, to much shock and amazement, the Red Bull driver escaped punishment completely, a decision the FIA later admitted was wrong.
