When you have two EastEnders legends like Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) preparing to get married, you just know that it is going to be full to the brim with drama.
While Kat is excitedly preparing to marry her man, Phil is fighting with his conscience over his actions the previous week.
Things only get worse when Louise calls Kat and demands that she tell Phil that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) can’t have access to his daughter, Peggy.
This puts Phil in an awkward position, and he comes up with an idea to get himself out of the mess he’s made.

Heading over to the Arches, Phil tells Keanu a whopping great in an attempt to keep him quiet: He’s already told Kat all about Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit), and says that she has forgiven him.
The day before the wedding, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) surprises Kat with hen-do in the Queen Vic, where the women of Walford are eagerly waiting to toast her last night of freedom.
As the drinks flow, Kat finally makes peace with ex-husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), but when he reveals that he can’t be at the wedding, she is gutted.

It isn’t long before Keanu arrives in the Vic and, having spotted Kat’s high spirits, begins to realise that Phil has lied to him. He is quick to send his rival a text, revealing that he is going to tell Kat everything.
Horrified that his whole marriage may be set to go up in flames, Phil rushes over, but is stopped in his tracks by Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who promises to sort things out.

Sharon pulls Keanu aside while he is mid conversation with Kat and threatens him, making it clear that he will be sorry if Kat finds out the truth from him.
Keanu agrees to Sharon’s demands, but as he continues to drink, his tongue grows looser, and he is soon spilling Phil’s big secret to unsuspecting Alfie.

Over at Peggy’s, Phil and the other Mitchell men raise a toast to family, but are soon interrupted by a scorching Alfie.
