Arsenal’s new hero Declan Rice bags winner in double late heartbreak for Man Utd
DAILY STAR SAYS Arsenal sensation Declan Rice announced himself as a club hero after bagging the stoppage-time winner against Manchester United.
The £105million summer signing scored an emphatic goal in the 96th minute to make it 2-1, before Gabriel Jesus sealed the victory with a third.
The Gunners seemed to be heading towards another disappointing draw with the score level at 1-1. Neither side had been able to find the net since Marcus Rashford and Martin Odegaard’s first half goals, which came in quick succession.
Hardly anyone inside the Emirates Stadium would have dared to dream as the minutes ticked away in stoppage time – until midfield star Rice marked his true arrival in north London by rescuing all three points.
