Thomas Partey is set to miss Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday due to injury.
The 30-year-old has started at right-back in all three of Arsenal’s Premier League games so far.
But Mikel Arteta will now be forced to reshuffle his defence ahead of their match against United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Partey has not been called up to Ghana’s squad ahead of the upcoming international break, while the Ghanaian Football Association claim that they have been informed that the midfielder will be sidelined ‘for a while’.
A statement released by the Ghanaian FA on Saturday read: ‘Arsenal ace Thomas Partey is left out of the squad due to injury.
‘According to his club, the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while, however the Black Stars medical teams is monitoring the situation.’
