Supermarket giant Asda has added two bonuses to its loyalty app, Asda Rewards, just in time for the bank holiday shop.

New and existing users who spend £50 in stores or online until midnight on Sunday August 27 will receive a one-off £5 in their Cashpot.

Meanwhile, new Asda Rewards users will also be able to take advantage of the First Scan Bonus, until Saturday September 30. Customers who download Asda Rewards, sign up for an account, and scan the app before September 30 will receive £5 in their Cashpot.

So, new users could save up to £10 this bank holiday.

Rewards is unique because customers can earn pounds, not points, each time they purchase certain products or complete a milestone mission. Asda said its customers have earned more than £200 million via Asda Rewards since it launched in August last year.

More than five million customers now use the app every month and have been growing their Cashpots to help reduce their grocery bills.

Asda also recently introduced the Christmas Saver Cashpot to the app. This new feature means customers can save their Cashpot for spending over the festive period.

A whopping 400,000 customers have already opened a Christmas Saver Cashpot and £6 million has already been transferred into Saver Cashpots ready for the most wonderful time of the year.

Customers who transfer money into their Christmas Saver Cashpot will also receive a one-off cash bonus of up to £5.

Sound good to you? Well, to get Rewards all you need to do is download the Asda Rewards app and log in with, or create, an Asda Groceries account.
